Détroit Is the New Black X Ponyride to Celebrate Juneteenth
Ponyride, in collaboration with Détroit Is the New Black are hosting a 2-day Juneteenth celebration featuring a Block Party, virtual panel discussions, live performances from world-renowned poet, Jessica Care Moore, and the launch of Détroit Is the New Black Hyper Local online market. Partial proceeds of all sales from the Marketplace benefit Ponyride and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan!
“The Ponyride marketplace is a true expression of Détroit. The market is personal to me because I myself am a Ponyride alumni and feel as though I’ve “grown up” with many of these talented entrepreneurs. It’s so beautiful to watch a city grow and businesses grow with it. One of the reasons I love Detroit is because it’s a city built on ingenuity, strong work ethic and community.
My hope for the market is to promote that spirit through a universal voice, embracing diversity in retail. We’re so excited to work with this inaugural group of brands and hope you’ll come back as we expand throughout the year!”
