Loose Threads Pop-Up Group Exhibit Explores Clothing As Art

Loose Threads” is a group exhibition curated by Paul (FFTY) Johnson with a notion that explores the the art of clothing and clothing as art.

From the art that we make, to the clothes that we make them in, a handful of local designers share and showcase the specific particularities of what they do. This exhibition celebrates the difference and diverse narratives of Detroit by the way of the clothes we wear and share.

Wearable techniques on view include distressing, alteration, bleaching, and hand-dyeing across customized accessories and hand-made or embellished garments.
