Détroit Is The New Black has teamed up with We Are Culture Creators for a very special day party to create an interactive art installation and provide lunch for protesters and folks that are seeking community on Saturday, June 6th, from 12-4PM. (Featured image credit, Xavier Cuevas).
After the downtown Detroit-based retail store found itself at odds with landlord, Bedrock, over boarding up the location to ensure that no damage would occur due to the protests, We Are Culture Creators stepped up to arrive the next day and complete the work needed to be done, along with the City of Detroit that provided the wood to be used.
Lunch is provided from Yum Village.
To ensure safety, 400 masks are to be provided, you may walk up or just drive by to say hello from your car! DITNB is a brand at the crossroads of culture, fashion & community.
