DETROIT (WJBK) – Fitness-wear chain Lululemon is set to open its doors on Woodward next Friday.
The new store is taking the spot most recently occupied by Kit and Ace at 1459 Woodward, reports Curbed Detroit. It’s just a few blocks down from Under Armour and Nike, which both opened within the past 18 months.
Taking up about 3,000 square feet, Lululemon worked with Playground Detroit to incorporate the art of Haley S. Stone and Ellen Rutt, as well as a sizable mural by Arlin Graff.
There will be an opening day event next Friday featuring local beverages, food and activities, and a run at 4 p.m.
Stores hours are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
