Detroit electronic du ke thu has been dropping a new track every Friday for the past few weeks, which debuted with a left-field Tiger King cover, then followed by last week’s banger track “Thinking About You,” and once again- this Friday with their latest offering “Dissolve: into.”
“The track starts with a noisy low frequency pad sound and seemingly random percussive elements that fall into their rhythmic place with the introduction of a deep kick drum rhythm. It goes on to layer several stacking harmonic and melodic components to form a warm soft bed to contrast the sharp, slashing percussion, pushing beyond the traditional rhythmic tendencies found in most techno music.”
As a result of a series of canceled live performances, ke thu will continue releasing tracks every Friday until the pandemic crisis comes to an end.
