SAM AUSTINS RETURNS WITH DEBUT OF ‘FENTY’ MUSIC VIDEO

Sam Austins is back with “Fenty,” his first offering since 2017’s ANGST EP.

“Fenty” is Sam’s celebration of a brand that changed the game for cultural conceptions of beauty.  This track is his first single released since that prophetic statement, and drops within a dense schedule of winter/spring releases that includes three new music videos where he is styled by iconic designer Phillip Lim, remixes from the likes of Black Milk, Take A Daytrip, and Nydge, and a headlining hometown show in Detroit.

Behind the scenes with Sam Austins

With Motown royalty in his blood line (Barrett Strong, The Four Tops), 21-year-old Detroit artist Sam Austins ended 2017 with a November EP that the city’s alt weekly called the best project of the year by an emerging artist, echoing praise by national publications like Earmilk, Pigeons and Planes, Fake Shore Drive, and Elevator Mag. Sam has racked up close to 1 million Spotify streams and was quickly added to the “Most Necessary” playlist. The Detroit Metro Times opened 2018 by calling Sam their #1 “urban” artist to watch from the city this year.

Sam is also headlining his first show in Detroit with Assemble Sound and Fake Shore Drive at the El Club on April 7th. Be sure to RSVP below!
