Tiny Canvas Exhibition Proceeds Will Be Donated to Detroit Justice Center & Forgotten Harvest
To support those in need, a selection of Detroit artists have transformed 15 handcrafted canvases. Proceeds from artwork sales will be shared with artists, and donated to Forgotten Harvest and Detroit Justice Center. For every canvas sold, 100 meals will be provided to local families in need due to the coronavirus. Canvases were generously made and provided by Pence Fine Art Services.
Featured artists include Antonia Stoyavich, Bakpak Durden, Dustin Cook, Ellen Rutt, Marlo Broughton, Heidi Barlow, Ijania Cortez, Marshall Sass, Martyna Alexander, Michelle Tanguay, Monica Dubray, Nic Notion, Louise Jones (Ouizi), Tony Whlgn, Tylonn J. Sawyer, and Shaina Kazstelan.
Artists and their work hold the power to simultaneously inspire and heal, making them ‘essential workers’ in our eyes and especially worth celebrating in this moment in history.
