GOOGLE LOVES DETROIT: NEW MAPS APP COMMERCIAL SHOT IN DETROIT ROCK CITY

Today Google has just announced the release of their update to Google Maps App. To show off it’s new tricks, Google took it out to Detroit for a spin! Instead of the typical blight shots and ‘ruin porn’ they focused on some of the city’s classic pit stops as well as some of the new additions to downtown Detroit; a ride on the People Mover, rooting on the Tigers baseball game, a rock concert at Saint Andrew’s, and of course a bite to eat at Lafayette Coney Island.

Explore new places, discover local favorites, and navigate your world with the new Google Maps app. The new Google Maps draws you a tailored map for every search and click you make. So whatever you’re trying to find or wherever you’re trying to go, you’ll always have a map highlighting the things that matter most. Available on Android phones and tablets with a simple, easy-to-use design.”
