1:30PM // Curtis Roach, River Stage

Hailing from Detroit, MI Roach is an up-and-coming artist not to be missed on the line-up. Listen to his latest album (if you aren’t familiar) entitled, “Highly Caffeinated.”

“Highly Caffeinated” is the young Curtis Roach’s third project, meant to wake you up and to make sure you never give up on your dreams. Curtis takes his eclectic style and balances, jazz, lofi, Bossa Nova, jazz hop sounds into a alternative hip-hop mix. Tracks like “Bossin” he discusses the evils of money and greed in today’s society and on tracks such as “Somebody Loves You Back” Curtis reminds you there is always someone out in the world that loves you.

“Patrón the Summer”

Patrón Tequila will be also stopping by the music festival as part of its “Patrón the Summer” tour, which brings versatile + delicious cocktails to some of the country’s best events, including Detroit!

Patrón will be shaking up perfect-for-summer drinks for getting your dance on with your friends, including one inspired by the festival- the Motown Margarita, delivering the perfect balance between spice and citrus to help you kick cocktail hour up a few notches.

Make Your Own Motown Margarita:

  • .5 oz       Patrón Citrónge Orange
  • 1 oz        Fresh lime juice
  • .5 oz       Agave syrup
  • 3             Jalapeño coins
  • +             Lime wedge for garnish

In the bottom of a mixing tin, muddle one jalapeño coin with agave syrup. Add spirits and lime juice and shake with ice to chill. Strain onto fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and remaining jalapeño coin for a perfect summer party refreshment.
