Mayoral Candidate Ingrid Lafleur does it all but now she needs you to help make a difference in the community of Detroit! A native Detroiter, Ingrid Lafleur has spent years building the community through her work as a curator, community activist, teacher, speaker, local arts advocate and founder of AFROTOPIA.

A spiritual leader in tune with the cosmos, Mayoral candidate Ingrid Lafleur is hoping to get all hands on deck for her 2017 Moonrise Fundraiser on May 31 at El Club in Southwest Detroit. In the midst of a new lunar phase, La Fleur seeks to channel the astral energy toward positivity and change in the City of Detroit. Hosted by singer, songwriter and Hip Hop ambassador Mahogany Jones, the fundraising event naturally features some of the city’s celebrated musical guests including Synergistic Mythologies, Video 7, Chris Campbell, Haute to Death, and MGUN/Anthony Jasper.

The evening will entail these soulful and upbeat performances with a 15 dollar suggested donation. The event will run from 7:00PM until 12:00PM at the popular nightlife destination. This should be a night filled with community, connection, inspiring sounds and a collective vision toward a better and stronger Detroit.

Lafleur has officially opened her campaign office at 16909 Livernois St. She welcomes visitors and volunteers to this newly established flagship. The office is currently running a series of co-creation sessions which serve as “dynamic conversations about the cannabis industry.” The campaign is a youthful, energetic, creative and inclusively run venture with Ingrid at the helm and the community’s input, concerns, ideas and dreams steering the sail.
