The first annual #NYC2DET Creative Caravan is an exclusive weekend trip to celebrate the launch of PLAYGROUND DETROIT: DET2NYC-NYC2DET RIDE SHARES. Our program #NYC2DET fosters New York-based relationships that will enrich Detroit’s future by inviting thought leaders to connect and share unifying experiences that lead to effective strategic action. The creative caravan to Detroit is comprised of an intimate, curated group of New York tastemakers, artists, and entrepreneurs that will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and dialogue about the future roles of their cities in the world.

#NYC2DET offers a round-trip ride to Detroit from New York City with accommodation included. This exciting weekend will be full of local cultural immersion, networking opportunities, and unique learning experiences. Not only will you experience the city of Detroit with Playground Detroit, but you will also be attending the Detroit Design Festival.

The Detroit Design Festival is North America’s Festival of Independent Design. This Festival connects creatives with one another, introduce them to new markets and consumers, and expose Detroit’s creative talent and collective design aesthetic to national and global audiences. Concentrated in Detroit’s Creative Corridor and featuring various neighborhoods throughout Detroit, the Detroit Design Festival is an aggregation of various partner and community planned and supported events, including but not limited to: product launches and shows, lectures, panel discussions, trunk shows, tours, open houses, retail happenings and design battles.
