DREAM SEQUENCE
Founded in 2021 and enshrined with a mission to host the world’s first hypersensory gradient immersion field, Dream Sequence is a portal in an infinity room, a hallucinated shadow on the wall of your cave, a reality glitch, a dyslexic rainbow, a network of wires, glowing with intent- like our own masses of neurons, huddled, yearning to breathe free.

The scene in which we wake to. In which art is both artifact and environment. In which the mind’s eye is the locus of intervention.
“Dream” Sequence” is a light installation of an ever-changing projection of interactive color shadows in space by Patrick Ethen. In this experience, the art is both the projected light and the tool which creates the projected light.
Patrick Ethen uses light as a medium to explore emergent and ephemeral behavior, using meticulously wired arrays of electronics to construct installations which envelop the viewer in a meditative, immersive aura which feels simultaneously human and artificial. In 2020, he was selected as a PLAYGROUND DETROIT 20/20 Emerging Artists Fellow to support and present his latest body of work.
“Dream Sequence” is on view at eightfold creative from Friday, June 25th- Saturday, June 26th in a one-weekend only interactive installation.
