PHILLIP COOLEY

Advisor: Phillip Cooley graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts. After modeling for two years primarily in Europe, he moved back to Detroit to pursue more entrepreneurial and philanthropic adventures.

Phillip’s latest endeavor is Pony Ride; he is part-owner of Slows BBQ, and a general contractor with O’Connor Development. He dedicates time to serve on the Board of Architectural Salvage Warehouse Detroit, Greening of Detroit, Roosevelt Park Conservancy, Center for Community Based Enterprise, New Detroit and The Heidelberg Project. Phillip is also on the Advisory Board of ACLU of Southeastern Michigan, the Advisory Committee of The Knight Foundation (Detroit) and currently co-chairs the Mayor’s Advisory Task Force for the Detroit Works project.
