With only 18 women acts of 124 included in the official Movement Festival this year, Discwoman is excited to return to Movement in Detroit this year with a force of women-indetified talent. The evening starts with an array of electronic sounds and genres, then will transform into a thunderous techno cave accompanied by artist Rachel Roze’s projections. Last year Discwomen threw a 16 hour techno party with Detroit’s Girls Gone Vinyl which was covered by outlets such as Forbes and Billboard. A percentage of proceeds will benefit Detroit non-profit Teen Hype which works to empower underprivileged youth.
