We can all agree on one thing- 2017 was pretty weird- really weird. But the end is nearly here! With all of the highs and lows, this past year flew by fast. Now it’s time to celebrate all of the triumphs and perseverance with a solid  night out on the town!

Haute to Death Presents: The Surrealist Ball // Schvitz Health Club

Haute To Death has always made us sweat but this year they’re taking things to a new level at Detroits historic bath house, The Schvitz. Newly renovated in 2017, The infamous locale has undergone a facelift to its three floors of amenities including: a performance space, pool, steam rooms, dining  and lounge. Haute to Death has cleverly seized this big moment for The Schvitz, turning it into a NYE destination for their longstanding New Years Eve party.

With musical guests Haute to Death, LADYMONIX, Real Ghosts, Charles Trees and CRIM, attendees are sure to perspirate on the dancefloor while grooving to disco, techno, house, indie rock,  and more. AURA AURA will also be on site to capture the vibes via photo, eternalizing the good feels of the night. With two ticket options you can either put your focus on your footwork and simply hit the NYE party; Or you can buy an all inclusive ticket which grants you entry to the dance party and access to The Schvitz facilities New Years Day so that you can enter 2018 refreshed, moisturized and glowing. Paxahau Presents: Matthew Dear and Friends// Marble Bar

With Paxahau producing and a Ghostly International/Spectral Sound OG headlining, Marble Bar is sure to draw numbers as a mix of foundational and emerging talent combines for a night of dancing. With an impressively lit lineup,  the city’s premiere electronic sounds will be celebrated, along with the new year. Local staples Chuck Flask, Clark Warner and Erno have been rocking Detroit parties for many years and  neoteric firecrackers DJ  Holographic, Rebecca Goldberg and Ataxia have more recently made serious noise in the industry solidifying their spots in the Detroit electronic music scene. With a bunch of heavy hitters on their lineup, attendees will catch performances from Sky Ferreira, Iceage, Werewolf Jones, Speedboat, Jock Club, 2Lanes, John F.M. and MGUN. With sounds ranging from techno, house, grunge, punk, pop and more this event’s got a little something for everybody. You know the names.  DJ Dez, Todd Osborn and Phat Kat are three pillars in Michigan music and it’s a real treat to see them all on one lineup! From Hip Hop to house music,  jungle and more, this triad has unmatched chops when it comes to music making and selection. With representatives from Money Truck Music, Ghostly International/Technical Equipment Supply and Mahogani Music, NYE attendees are sure to be blessed with undeniable classics and  unknown deep cuts from true pioneers in Detroit sound.  Starting at 10:00PM, this NYE party goes till late at one of the city’s well known venues, The Old Miami.

From The Streets of Detroit (TEXTURE/My Baby) – NYE 2018 // TV Lounge

TV Lounge has hosted some of the city’s best events and they’ve got a blowout planned for NYE. With over 10 acts performing, favorites like Delano Smith, Norm Talley, Mister Joshooa, Loren, Jacob Park and Shady P decorate an impressive lineup in the well known and always packed venue.
