Our friends at SELECT are looking for a cutting edge artist or collective to receive our yearly residency slot. The winning artist/s will be granted a complimentary studio in Brooklyn for the months of April & May (sponsored by Industry City). While at this 8 week residency, artists are encouraged to challenge themselves by pushing their work in new directions.  The SELECT team will provide mentorship and weekly studio visits.  SELECT will document your work in progress through our residency blog.  While at your residency you will also be able to participate in the Industry City Open Studios (Saturday, April 18th – 11 – 6 pm ). The residency will culminate in the presentation of your project at the SELECT Fair in Manhattan during Frieze Art Fair week (May 13 -17, 2015).

We encourage any of Detroit’s cutting edge artists to apply for the opportunity to spend some time in NYC and participate with this residency program!
